Life is a journey with many unexpected turns. For nearly 50 years, we’ve provided a welcome respite on that road. Whether it’s caring for the greatest generation or meeting the smallest needs of those requiring rehab, we’ve been there for countless families — all thanks to a generous gift made nearly half a century ago. And now, we’re asking you to help us prepare for the road ahead.
With your tax-free gift to the Henry & Jane Vonderlieth Foundation, we will continue to raise the bar as we serve local seniors. Meeting their changing needs. Every step of the way.
Who We Are
In 1904, Henry Vonderlieth headed east to make his fortune in the publishing industry, but he never forgot the town he called home. In 1960, together with his wife, Jane, he established a trust to bring exceptional care to Mt. Pulaski’s aging population.
In 1973, that vision was realized with the creation of the Henry and Jane Vonderlieth Living Center — a skilled nursing facility that, today, boasts 90 beds, all of which are Medicare- and Medicaid-certified.
In 1980, the vision was expanded to include 25 independent living apartments, nestled on the southern edge of our campus.
In 2009, the Board of Trustees created the Henry and Jane Vonderlieth Foundation to supplement and further the mission of the Vonderlieth family — providing exceptional services for the elderly in a quality environment by people who care.
What We Do
Vision: The goal of the Henry and Jane Vonderlieth Foundation is to provide quality healthcare for the elderly, with a vision for the future needs of the people of Mt. Pulaski and the surrounding area.
Mission:
In the next decade, senior care facilities will encounter unprecedented challenges as the post-war generation comes of age. In an era of rising costs and shrinking reimbursements, your gift will help us do what we do best — providing local seniors with care that’s second to none.
Your donation will help:
- Fund future expansion of services for the elderly.
- Supplement the Vonderlieth Trust in providing skilled nursing care.
- Enhance our current care while preparing for the needs of the future.

What Will My Gift Achieve?
While the funds we raise will be used for a broad range of needs, your gift now will help us enhance our commitment in two key areas — assisted living and dementia care. As people continue to live longer lives, there is an increasing need to help those at both ends of the aging spectrum. Your gift will help us do that, enabling significant improvements in these two essential areas.
